5. Describe your book in one sentence. Try to tell us what the book is about and what makes it interesting or distinctive.

6. Tell us about the book in no more than 500 words. Describe the central story, argument or idea, what the book explores and what you hope a reader will take from it.

7. Who do you believe the book is for? Tell us about the reader you have in mind.

8. Where have you reached with the manuscript?

9. Approximately how many words have you written so far? If the manuscript is not complete, please also tell us the approximate final length you expect.

10. What would you ideally like to happen with the book?

11. Have you already approached any literary agents or publishers with this project? If yes, briefly tell us what happened.

12. Tell us a little about yourself and why you are the person to write this book. This might include your professional background, qualifications, lived experience, previous writing or particular connection to the subject.

13. Do you already have an audience or public presence connected with your work? This might include a website, Substack, mailing list, social-media following, professional network, clients, speaking engagements, media appearances or previous books. Please include links where relevant.
